Boozy Vanilla Custard - Here’s How!

Try this beautifully boozy custard - made for grown-ups!

300ml milk
300ml double cream
1 tsp vanilla bean paste
75g caster sugar
8 egg yolks
Splash of Aval Dor Vanilla Vodka

To make the custard, put the milk and cream in a pan with the vanilla and half of the sugar, warm through gently.

Whisk the egg yolks with the remaining sugar.

Pour the milk mixture over the yolk mix, and whisk together.

Transfer this to the pan, continuously whisking until it thickens, then whisk in the vodka and sieve off into a bowl.

Serve warm with Christmas pud or cake!
