Make your own Mulled Christmas Gin

Create this festive favourite to bring some added warmth to your celebrations!

We will be serving complimentary mulled gin at our Saturday Christmas Shopping events at the distillery in Nov and Dec, 11-5pm - Do pop in!

To make a litre of Mulled Gin, you will need:

  • 1 litre of cloudy apple juice

  • 10 grams of cloves

  • 0.2 grams of chillis (to desired taste)

  • 10 grams of crushed nutmeg

  • 30 grams of cinnamon sticks

  • 1 gram of star anise

  • 50ml of sugar syrup (50/50 sugar & water mix)

  • 10 drops of Angostura bitters

  • Christmas Spiced Gin to serve

    Method

    Weigh up your botanicals and put them into a saucepan containing your apple juice. Let all the ingredients simmer whilst the botanicals infuse. Heat to 75 degrees celsius for atleast 1 hr. Filter the botanical mix through a sieve. Collect all liquid into your desired serving vessel.

    To serve

    (Best served warm)

    Pour 175ml of the mulled apple juice mix into a glass.

    Add 25ml of Christmas Spiced Gin
    Garnish with star anise
