Cornish Breakfast Martini

The Breakfast Martini was invented by Salvatore Calabrese in 1996, inspired by a breakfast of marmalade on toast that his wife insisted he eat before leaving the house. Later that day, he perfected the recipe at the Library Bar at The Lanesborough Hotel, which has gin as the base spirit. Our twist on the Maestro’s modern day classic switches out gin for Emily Scott’s Citrus Vodka, which has a tang and zing that work perfectly in the drink.

50ml Aval Dor Emily Scott Citrus Vodka

15ml Triple Sec

15ml Lemon juice

Teaspoon of orange marmalade

Stir in shaker until marmalade dissolves

Shake with ice

Double strain into frozen martini glass

Feel free to put your own twist on this recipe by adding lime cordial and reducing the triple sec, and experimenting with different kinds of marmalade – fine cut styles work best in this drink.
